A Life Beneath the Waves
A native of Los Angeles and SCUBA diver for almost 30 years, Reggie Brown has been engaged in marine photography for over two decades. His love for the sea was evident early — fishing, body surfing, and snorkeling were lifelong passions. Inspired by his older brother, a SCUBA diver, young Reggie served as an enthusiastic gear Sherpa before earning his own certifications through NAUI, LA County, and YMCA for Open Water, Advanced, and Rescue Diver.
Now based in Port Ludlow, Washington, Reggie's images reflect a meticulous attention to detail, patterns, colors, and behavior — particularly at the macro level. His philosophy demands patience, persistence, discipline, and the honesty to admit when the vision hasn't been captured yet, and to keep pursuing it.
A proud member of NCUPS (Northern California Underwater Photographic Society), Reggie has won numerous awards in international competitions, earning travel prizes to some of the world's most extraordinary dive destinations.
